In my 30+ years of teaching and leading, I've only ever had one rule: the child comes first.

I'm Shukri, a teacher of 30 years. For most of that time, I've led SEND and Inclusion as a department head in schools around the world.

I've built SEND departments from scratch in very different schools, across very different countries and cultures. The systems matter, but the starting point never changes: see the children first, then build everything around them.

That's what Child First Education is all about.
